AH Peck is a traditional bespoke timber flooring company were we produced a stylised but product based scheme for their showroom, studio and sub-terrain VIP area. This project was primarily about their showroom and their product, the owners commitment to quality, while their studio is about the founders and their colleagues and their clients get to experience every bit of that.
There were three key elements of the design for AH Peck; concealed, expressed and decorative. We needed to provide their customers, with the lighting design, a visual experience. To really accentuate the texture of all the timber, its character and its grain was imperative to graze light across the surface of the material. The quality and technical aspects of the illumination was a primary consideration; colour temperature, how does the light render the product, scene setting. This was always the most important part of the brief.
