The Hawksbee Studio was founded by Machan Enever with the intention of using her talents to provide curious, bespoke and inspiring lighting design for our aspiring clients. We design so that those clients can ‘feel’ their environments through the lit effect. Lighting is so incredibly important to our everyday lives, do not underestimate it.

LIGHT IS NOT A SEPARATE ENTITY, IT IS ONE OF THE COMPONENTS TO GREAT DESIGN.  IT IS A SUCCINCT AND AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT WITHIN THE ARCHITECTURAL FABRIC OF ANY PROJECT.

We have over 10 years of global experience within the lighting industry, working directly with clients and their architects, interior designers and developers based in various locations from Europe to the Caribbean. We have experience in Residential, Commercial, Offices & Hospitality environments, both Interior and Exterior locations. Every project has a diverse briefing and specific design intents, and we apply our knowledge and skill through-out these scheme.

Working with the architectural landscape and the spatial entities of the interior scheme is an essential ingredient in producing a cohesive design. At Hawksbee we understand that the effects of lighting is critical to providing a multi-faceted sensory experience within any environment.

We understand that we are not simply responsible for producing a lighting design plan and specification, at Hawksbee we recognise that a project is as individual as its owner. Our role is to recognise how and why the client uses each space and design in a manner where lighting can compliment the task in-hand, lighting may even be the lead character.

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE

Lighting whether artificial or natural affects us physically and physiologically. It is the fundamental basis to what we do. We work with aspirational clients with whom we gain an emotional connection with while providing a narrative that considers the why before the where and what.

We can achieve limitless effects through ever-developing technology within the industry. These developments provide us with much more exciting and ingenious ways to illuminate am interior or exterior space, and these way should challenge our perception.

Hawksbee focuses on concealed illumination and architectural products that emphasise the built environment where we intensify the architectural palettes, their materials, surfaces and textures. We work seamlessly with the architect, interior design and the client building a collaborative and transparent relationship therefore creating an outstandingly lit environment.
