Absolutely stunning the Uchiwa ‘Yotsuba’ Chandelier by Ingo Maurer

Designed in the 1970s, the ‘Yotsuba' chandelier was only produced for one year, it is quite a rarity. It’s handmade from bamboo and Japanese rice paper, it hangs from three ropes which can be adjusted to alter the drop of the shade. It consists of 4 interlocking fans that when lit they seem translucent providing a warm hue.

I love this design, its simplistic, tactile, has an organic nature and is so effective in providing a soft ambient light that intrigues you to look at the source. I want one!
